Reședință izolată pe lot realizată în maniera proprie de interpretare a stilului național, vila se distinge prin liniile clare, și volumele de dimensiuni diferite care îi compun fațadele asimetrice, legate de brâul și friza dantelate. Gesturile mari, tușele viguroase ale volumelor sunt echilibrate de minuțiozitatea cu care sunt desenate și cioplite motivele și împletiturile florale. Acest gen de tratare a fațadelor îi rezerva trecătorului surpriza de a redescoperi vila pe măsură ce se apropie de ea. Friza mimeaza pe alocuri ancadramente de ferestre, sugerând astfel prezența unui etaj, pentru a nu lăsa parterul înalt să pară prea înalt.

Vila surprinde plăcut și prin starea în care se găsește, mai ales având în vedere că în perioada postbelică a fost transformată în creșă, și, mai apoi, în centru de recrutare. Restaurarea realizată cu bun gust și bun simț de arhitectul Șerban STURDZA și echipa sa au redat peisajului urban o lucrare sobră și delicată deopotrivă.

Vila Panait Ionescu, cunoscută ulterior ca Vila Ion Cămărășescu a fost ridicată în 1912 de antrepriza Leopold SCHINDL pentru suma de circa 200.000 de lei.

A detached residence, designed within the lines of the personal interpretation of the national style, the villa stands out due to the clear lines and to the various volumes that make up the asymmetrical façades, brought together by the lacey profile and frieze. The ample gestures, the powerful brushes of the volumes are balanced by the careful detailing of the carved floral and woven motifs. This kind of treatment of the façades reserves to the passerby the surprise of rediscovery of the villa, as one approaches it. The frieze mimics window frames from place to place, implying the presence of an additional floor, thusly preventing the ground floor from appearing too tall.

The villa is a pleasant surprise also due to the state it is in, especially since after the war it was used first as a daycare center and then as a recruitment office. The restoration, realized with good taste and common sense by architect Șerban STURDZA and his team, gives back a sober and delicate work to the urban landscape.

The Panait Ionescu Villa, late known as Ion Cămărășescu Villa was erected in 1912 by contractor Leopold SCHINDL for 200.000lei.
