Deși inițial concepută ca un imobil cu un singur etaj, acest imobil a fost supraînălțat, cel mai probabil în anii 30’-40’. Proiectul inițial avea etajul definit de un registru puternic decorat, echilibrând astfel sobrietatea parterului.

Cu ocazia supraînălțării decorația etajului s-a pierdut, păstrându-se doar poziția și forma ferestrelor, iar tot etajul al doilea a fost realizat într-un vocabular Mauro-Florentin. 

Acesta este un exemplu rar și fericit de clădire frumoasă, care este amplu modificată, în așa măsură încât își schimbă și repertoriul stilistic, dar rămâne frumoasă, chiar dacă în alt fel. În ciuda noii tencuieli, lisă și de un galben deschis, nepotrivită nici cu Neoromânescul uitat, nici cu Mauro-Florentinul dobândit, vila rămâne o prezență demnă de vecinele semnate de Grigore CERCHEZ (1850-1927), Statie CIORTAN (1876-1940) sau Marcel LOCAR (1902-1983).

Sub forma ei originală, vila a fost construită de antrepriza Leopold SCHINDL și a costat 200.000 de lei.

Although initially conceived as a ground floor and upper floor building, this villa was added an extra floor, most likely in the 1930’s-1940’s. The original design had an upper floor defined by a powerfully decorated registry, balancing the sobriety of the ground floor.

When the extra floor was added, the decoration of the first floor was lost, keeping only the position and size of the windows, while the entire second floor was designed in a Moorish Renaissance vocabulary.

This is a rare and happy example of a beautiful building that undergoes drastic modifications, to such an extent that it changes the stylistic repertory, but remains beautiful, even if in a different way. Despite the new rendering, smooth and bright yellow, unsuitable either for the forgotten Neoromanian past or for the Moorish transformation, the villa remains a presence worthy of the neighbors signed by Grigore CERCHEZ (1850-1927), Statie CIORTAN (1876-1940) or Marcel LOCAR (1902-1983).

The original version of the villa was built by contractor Leopold SCHINDL for 200.000lei.
