Singura clădire din repertoriul Bucureștean al arhitectului care face apel la o sintaxă rustică, vila Maria Arion amintește mai curând de vilele de la Sinaia sau de moșiile din provincie decât de locuințele urbane cu care a împodobit Bucureștiul.

Jocul de acoperișuri repezi, împreună cu soclul din piatră de râu sunt principalele elemente care generează această imagine rustică, romantică. Contribuie de asemenea și ferestrele cu ochiuri mici, contraforții, elementele de lemn și bovindoul. Relația cu solul este studiată, ieșirea spre curte realizându-se printr-un aparat de pachete de trepte și terase.

Atmosfera romantică a vilei este susținută de o vegetație bogată, astăzi scăpată de sub control, dar potrivită imaginii rustice.

The only building within the architects’ Bucharest repertory to make use of a rustic syntax, Maria Arion Villa is more likely reminiscent of the villas in Sinaia or the countryside manors than of the urban villas that he scattered all over Bucharest.

The play of steep roofs, together with the rocky base are the main elements that generate this rustic, romantic image. The small window panes of the french windows also pitch in, as well as the buttresses, the wooden elements and the bow window. The relationship with the soil was also a subject of study, as the path towards the courtyard is filtered by packs of stairs and teraces. 

The romantic air of the villa is sustained by a rich vegetation, run out of control, but in accordance with the athmosphere.
