Exemplu tipic de pentru eleganța creațiilor lui Paul SMĂRĂNDESCU, această vilă care se găsește într-o stare foarte bună ca urmare a unei restaurări inspirate, reunește elemente de sintaxă specifice arhitectului. Dintre acestea, cel mai ușor de recunoscut este friza cu motive florale, modelată după ancadramentele ferstrelor și a logiei din axul intrării.
Aici este remarcabilă intrarea, evidențiată prin foișorul detașat de fațadă, cu o copertină fină și de inspirație tradițională. Logia de la etaj, cu arc trilobat și bordată de coloane Neoromânești întărește axul intrării, contribuind la imaginea elansată a fațadelor. Simetria acestui volum se disipă, nefiind transmisă la restul fațadei.
Vila Romanowski a fost construită în 1927 de antrepriza L. și C. SCHINDL.
A typical example for the elegance of Paul SMĂRĂNDESCU’s creations, this villa, which is in a remarkably good state due to a recent professional restoration, reunites syntax elements that are specific to the architects’ work. Out of these elements, the one easiest to recognize is the floral motif frieze, modeled around the window frames and around the loggia found in the entrance axis.
Here the entrance is remarkable, as it is emphasized by a volume with a loggia, detached from the façade, and by a refined traditional canopy. The loggia upstairs, with a trefoil arch, flanked by Neoromanian columns, strengthens the entrance axis, pitching in to the upward image of the façades. The symmetry of this volume dissipates, as it is not transmitted to the rest of the façade.
Romanowski Villa was built in 1927 by contractors L. and C. SCHINDL.
