Deși bovindoul a suferit modificări în zona mansardei (probabil în urma unui cutremur care a afectat zidăria de la acest nivel) acest imobil se înscrie vădit în linia personală de Neoromânesc dezvoltată de Paul SMĂRĂNDESCU. Similară în vocabular cu vilele create pentru Stelian POPESCU, Dim. NEAGU și alții, imobilul se impune tocmai prin prezența acestui bovindou care era înainte mai înalt și împodobit cu o friză cu motive florale. Lipsește de asemenea friza din două rânduri de dinți de fierăstrău care încununa fațada din dreapta bovindoului. Este fascinant că în ciuda acestor pierderi, clădirea își păstrează prestanța și linia specifică lui Paul SMĂRĂNDESCU. Această vilă a fost construită de antrepriza Emil PETERNELLI, contra sumei de 50.000 de lei.

Paul SMĂRĂNDESCU reia elemente din acest imobil și 11 ani mai târziu, la imobilul Corneliu Botez de pe Strada Corneliu Botez 8. Din păcate, finisajele acestui din urmă imobil nu se găsesc într-o stare atât de bună ca în cazul celui din Strada Transilvaniei.

Although the bow window underwent modifications in the roof area (probably due to earthquake damage to the masonry) this building obviously belongs to the personal Neoromanian line developed by Pau SMĂRĂNDESCU. Similar in vocabulary to the villas created for Stelian POPESCU, Dim. NEAGU and others, this building imposes itself exactly through the presence of this bow window, which was originally taller and was adorned with a floral motif frieze. Also missing is the frieze composed of two rows of ‘saw teeth’ that used to crown the façade to the right of the bow window. It is fascinating that, despite these losses, the building maintains its prestige and the typical line of Paul SMĂRĂNDESCU’s work. This villa was contracted by engineer Emil PETERNELLI for 50.000lei.

Paul SMĂRĂNDESCU reuses elements from this building even eleven yers later, on the Corenliu Botez building, on Strada Corneliu Botez 8. Unfortunately The finishing of this latter building is not as well preserved or restored as in the case of the villa in Strada Transilvaniei.
