Vilă eclectică cu elemente Neoromânești, acest imobil surprinde prin bogata decorație a registrului superior, ancadramentele unindu-se la partea superioară într-o friză care înconjoară toate fațadele. Împletitura cu motive florale are rolul de a închega întreaga compoziție arhitecturală. Acest gen de decorație este mai des întâlnit la Paul SMĂRĂNDESCU sub forma une frize mai late, care se transformă doar parțial în ancadrament.

Intrarea principală este marcată în volum printr-o travee ieșită în rezalit și un balcon, care ține rol și de copertină. Acest volum nu este însă mai înalt decât celelalte. Un rezalit similar se remarcă și spre stradă, dar mult mai puțin evidențiat ca adâncime, și așezat asimetric.

Limbajul de decorație utilizat pentru etaj se regăsea foarte asemănător în cadrul vilei Maria Fortunatu, înainte de supraînălțare.

Vila Ionescu-Clejani a fost ridicată în 1914 de antrepriza Mihail HARTEL și a costat circa 200.000 de lei.

Eclectic villa with Neoromanian elements, this building surprises through the richness of the decoration of the upper registry, the window frames coming together at the upper part, into a frieze that runs around all the façades. The weaving with floral motifs has the purpose of tying the entire architectural composition together. This type of decoration is more often seen in Paul SMĂRĂNDESCU’s work as a wide frieze, that turns only partially into window frames. 

The main entrance is marked within the volume through an outward façade bay and a balcony, acting also as a canopy. This volume, however, is not higher than any of the other volumes. A similar shift in the façade can be seen towards the street, but not as emphasized and asymmetrically positioned.

The decorating language is very similar to the one that used to decorate Maria Fortunatu Villa, before the extension. 

Ionescu-Clejani Villa was built in 1914 by contractor Mihail HARTEL for about 200.000lei.
